Los Blancos won the competition to recruit Theo Hernandez from rival Atletico Madrid, with several other giants interested such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Real Madrid also announced that Jesus Vallejo will be officially a member for the 2017/18 season. The 20-year-old Spanish central defender will be Pepe's successor.
